American Revolution

The American Revolution was a time when the colonies in America fought against the British rule. The colonists were unhappy with how the British were treating them, and so they decided to fight back. They formed the Continental Army and Navy and fought against the British Army. The war went on for years, with the colonists winning in 1783. This victory made the United States of America its own country, independent from British rule.
