Amorites

Okay kiddo, let's talk about the Amorites. The Amorites were a group of people who lived a very long time ago, around 2000 B.C. They lived in a place called Mesopotamia, which is modern-day Iraq.

Back then, people didn't have countries like we do now. Instead, they lived in groups called city-states. And one of the most powerful city-states was run by the Amorites. The Amorites were known for being really good at fighting, and they were able to take over other city-states around them.

The Amorites were also known for their culture. They spoke a language called Akkadian, and they worshipped many different gods. They also had really cool art that they made by carving stone and making pottery.

But like all good things, their reign couldn't last forever. Another group of people called the Babylonians eventually conquered the Amorites and they kind of disappeared from history after that.

So that's the story of the Amorites, buddy. They were warriors and artists who lived a really long time ago in Mesopotamia.
