Ampelmännchen

Ampelmännchen are little people that appear on traffic lights. They help us know when it is safe to cross the street. The green light with the ampelmännchen means it is safe to go, and the red light with the ampelmännchen means it is not safe and we should stay on the sidewalk and wait for the green light.
