Amphibious helicopter

An amphibious helicopter is a special kind of helicopter that is designed to fly through the air and also travel on water.

Think of it like a plane that can also turn into a boat!

The helicopter has special pontoons or floats on the bottom of it that allow it to land and take off from water just like a boat. These pontoons also help the helicopter float in the water when it is not flying.

When the helicopter lands on water, the pilot can actually lower the pontoons into the water and make the helicopter float on the surface. This allows the passengers to get out if needed or for the helicopter to be loaded onto another boat or ship.

Amphibious helicopters are used in lots of different ways. For example, they might be used to rescue people who are stranded on a boat in the ocean or in a flooded area. They can also be used to transport supplies to people who are cut off by floods or other natural disasters.

Thanks to the amphibious helicopter, people can travel both through the sky and across the water, which makes it a very special and useful kind of transportation!
