Anagoge

An anagoge is when a person uses a story, poem or other type of writing to make a comparison between a spiritual or religious concept and physical things. For example, someone might use the story of a seed growing into a tree to compare it to a person growing in their faith. Anagoge is used as a way to help people think about and better understand spiritual concepts.
