Ananias of Damascus

Ananias of Damascus was a man who lived a long time ago. He was from the city of Damascus, which is in a country called Syria. One day, he heard a message from God. God told Ananias to go meet a man named Saul who was in a different city called Jerusalem. Saul used to hurt and punish people who believed in God, but he had a change of heart and wanted to follow God instead.

Ananias was scared to go see Saul because he had heard about all the bad things Saul had done. But God told Ananias that he had a special job for him to do. He wanted Ananias to go to Saul and help him become a better person. So Ananias went to Saul and prayed for him. Then, something amazing happened. Saul's eyesight was restored and he was able to see again!

After that, Saul changed his name to Paul and he became a very important person in the Christian religion. Ananias played a big role in helping Paul become a better person and spreading the message of God to many people. Even though it was scary, Ananias listened to God and did something very brave and important.
