Anathyrosis

Anathyrosis is a way to join two stones so that the two pieces fit together perfectly and form an even, smooth surface. To do this, the two pieces of stone are chiseled into shapes that fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. The edges of the two pieces are curved so that when they are joined, the two pieces form a smooth and even surface.
