An Adventist is someone who belongs to a Christian church called the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a group of people who believe in Jesus and follow His teachings. They worship on Saturdays, the seventh day of the week, because they believe that is when God rested when He finished creating the world. They also believe that Jesus will come back to take them to heaven one day. They have other beliefs, too, like being kind to other people and taking care of their bodies (not drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes.).
