Ancient literature

Ancient literature is when people wrote stories a very long time ago, like really, really long ago, many years before we were born. These stories were often written on things like stone tablets or papyrus, which is like paper made from plants.

The people who wrote these stories talked about many different things such as gods, heroes, animals, and nature. They also wrote plays and poems that were performed in front of other people. These stories helped people understand the world around them and connect with others who read or heard the same stories.

Ancient literature is important because it tells us about the way people lived in the past, what they believed in, and what was important to them. Even though these stories were written so very long ago, they can still teach us many things today, and we can still enjoy reading them.
