Okay kiddo, have you ever been to church? In the Anglican church, there are some special things called sacraments. These are like special actions that help us connect with God and become closer to Him.
There are seven different sacraments in the Anglican church. Let's talk about some of them:
1. Baptism - This is when someone gets water poured over their head to show that they want to follow Jesus.
2. Confirmation - This is when someone who was baptized as a baby or child decides they want to continue following Jesus as they grow up. A bishop will lay their hands on their head and pray for them.
3. Holy Communion - This is when we remember Jesus and what He did for us by eating a piece of bread and drinking a little bit of wine or grape juice.
4. Confession - This is when we tell a priest about the things we've done wrong and ask for forgiveness.
5. Marriage - This is when two people promise to love and care for each other for the rest of their lives.
6. Holy Orders - This is when someone becomes a priest, bishop, or other church leader. They receive special training and are ordained by a bishop.
7. Anointing of the Sick - This is when someone is very sick or close to dying, and a priest comes to pray with them and put oil on their forehead to help them feel better.
These sacraments are very important to Anglicans because they help us feel closer to God and remind us of our faith.
