Animated cartoon

An animated cartoon is like a moving picture book. It's a type of video that shows pictures that look like drawings or paintings that come to life and move around just like real people, animals or objects.

These cartoons can be watched on TV, computer or smartphone. They usually tell a story, like a fairy tale or a funny joke, or they can teach us something new, like how to do math or brush your teeth.

Each animated cartoon that you watch is made up of many different pictures called frames, and they play quickly one after the other to make it look like the characters are moving. It's like watching a flip book, where you flip through the pages and the drawing moves.

To make these drawings move, talented artists called animators create each frame by drawing the characters in funny poses or making them move in different ways. They work very hard making lots and lots of frames until they have enough to tell the story.

And that's how an animated cartoon comes to life!
