The Antarctic Treaty System is a series of international agreements that work together to protect the Antarctic, which is the continent at the bottom of our planet. The agreements say that the Antarctic is for peaceful activities only, and it’s also to protect the environment. They also make sure that people don’t use the continent for military activities, like war. So countries that have signed the agreement promise to work together to make sure that Antarctica is kept safe!
