ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Anti-globalization and antisemitism

Anti-globalization is a belief that some people have that says our world should not have a lot of countries working together. They think this because they believe that when different countries work together, it can hurt a lot of people. They may think that big companies and rich people benefit the most from countries working together, while regular people might not be so lucky.

Antisemitism is when someone hates or discriminates against Jewish people. They might think that Jewish people are different in a bad way or have beliefs that are bad. Antisemitism is very harmful and can hurt people's feelings and safety.

Sometimes, anti-globalization and antisemitism can be connected. For example, someone who is anti-globalization might also believe that Jewish people are behind some of the bad things that they see happening in the world. This is not true and is a harmful way to think about people.

It's important to remember that just because we come from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, we can still work together to make the world a better and more fair place for everyone. Discrimination, hatred, and harmful beliefs have no place in a world where we want to work together to achieve peace and progress.
