Anti-suit injunction

Imagine you and your friend are playing a game and you both have a disagreement about the rules. You want to go to your mom and ask her to tell your friend that you're right, but your friend wants to go to his dad and ask him to tell you that he's right. This is kind of like what an anti-suit injunction is.

Sometimes, people will take a disagreement they have with someone to court in one country, but the other person will take the same disagreement to court in a different country. This can cause a lot of confusion and make it really hard to figure out who is right and who is wrong.

An anti-suit injunction is a special order that a court can give to stop someone from taking legal action in another country. It's like your mom telling you and your friend that you can't keep running to her and your friend's dad to settle your argument.

This order only happens in certain situations where it's clear that two different courts are going to make different decisions about the same disagreement. An anti-suit injunction is meant to help make things more fair and less confusing for everyone involved.
