ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Apoliticism

Apoliticism means that someone doesn't take a specific political group or side in an argument. It's like when you don't choose a team to cheer for during a game. You can still watch and enjoy the game without rooting for one team or another. Similarly, apolitical people don't have a strong interest or opinion in politics or political issues. They might know about political events but don't have a preference for any political party or candidate, and they don't try to persuade others to join their side. It's okay to be apolitical, and there are many reasons why someone might choose to be. Just like you can still enjoy being with your friends even if they like different things than you do, you can still be friends with people who have different political beliefs.
