Apollo 12

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about Apollo 12. It was a really important mission that happened a long time ago, in 1969. The mission was all about sending people to explore the moon!

So, there were three astronauts who went on the Apollo 12 mission: Charles "Pete" Conrad, Jr., Richard F. Gordon Jr., and Alan L. Bean. They left Earth on a really big spaceship called the Saturn V rocket.

After traveling through space for a few days, the spaceship landed on the moon. The astronauts then put on special space suits and went outside to collect some rocks and other things from the moon's surface.

But something really surprising happened while they were on the moon. A big lightning bolt struck the spaceship! It caused some of the instruments to stop working and the astronauts had to quickly fix everything or they could have gotten stuck on the moon forever!

Luckily, they were able to fix everything quickly and safely return back to Earth. This mission was really important because it helped scientists learn more about the moon and plan for future space exploration.
