Apollo and Daphne

Apollo was a Greek god who was really good at lots of things like music, poetry, and archery. One day, Apollo saw a beautiful nymph named Daphne, and he wanted to be close to her because he thought she was very lovely. However, Daphne didn't feel the same way about Apollo and wanted to be left alone.

So Apollo chased after Daphne, but she didn't want to be caught, so she called on her father, a river god, to help her. Her father turned her into a tree, and Apollo was left standing there, all alone. Even though Daphne was now a tree and she couldn't be with Apollo, Apollo still loved her and decided to make the tree his home.
