Appearance of corruption

The appearance of corruption is when people think something wrong is happening but don't have any proof. For example, if a politician gives money to a charity but then his family member gets a job at that charity, people might suspect that the job was a reward for the politician giving the money - even though there is no proof of that. This is called the appearance of corruption.
