Apple strudel

Alright kiddo, today we are going to talk about apple strudel. Have you ever eaten a pie? Apple strudel is sort of like a fancy pie from a faraway land called Austria.

First, let's talk about the dough. The dough for apple strudel is made from flour, water, and a little bit of oil. It has to be rolled out very thin, almost like paper, so that you can see through it! Rolling it out is sort of like playing with playdough.

Next, we have the filling. This is the best part! We take apples, usually Granny Smith apples, and cut them into small pieces. We add some sugar, cinnamon, and maybe a little bit of lemon juice to give it a zing. All of these things make the apples taste amazing! Yum!

Now comes the tricky part. We have to put the filling on the dough and roll it up. But the dough is so thin, it can tear easily. So we have to be really careful. We use our hands to carefully roll up the dough and spread the filling evenly. It's kind of like making a burrito!

Finally, we brush the top of the roll with melted butter and sprinkle a little bit of sugar on top. Then we bake it in the oven until it's golden brown and smells amazing! The best part is eating it while it's still warm.

So that's how we make apple strudel. It's a delicious dessert that you can enjoy with your family and friends. It may seem difficult to make, but with practice and patience, anyone can bake it. Bon appétit!
