ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Arachnology

Arachnology is the study of spiders and their relatives, including scorpions, ticks, and mites. Scientists called arachnologists look at spiders and these other creatures very carefully to learn more about them. They observe their behaviors, their habitats, and the unique features that make them different from other animals.

One of the main things that arachnologists try to understand is how these creatures survive and thrive in their environments. They also try to figure out how they interact with other animals and plants around them. By studying these tiny creatures, arachnologists can help us learn more about the world we live in and how all living things are connected.

So, in short, arachnology is a science that helps us understand more about spiders and their relatives, and how they fit into the natural world.
