Arbegnoch

Arbegnoch is a word that means "patriots" in the Amharic language of Ethiopia. These were Ethiopian fighters who fought against Italy during the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, which took place between 1935 and 1936.

During this time, Italy, led by Benito Mussolini, wanted to colonize Ethiopia. This meant taking over their land, resources, and people. But the Ethiopians did not want to be colonized, so they fought back against the Italian army.

The Arbegnoch were Ethiopian patriots who volunteered to fight for their country against the Italian invaders. They were made up of men and women from different parts of Ethiopia who were united in their love for their country and their determination to protect it.

Some of the weapons they used were spears and shields, but they also had guns and other modern weapons. They were brave and determined, and they fought hard against the Italian army.

Eventually, with the help of other countries and international pressure, Ethiopia was able to defeat Italy and remain independent. The Arbegnoch played an important role in this victory, and they are remembered today as heroes who fought for their country's freedom.
