Arbeitsrat für Kunst

Arbeitsrat für Kunst is a German phrase which means "Artists' Working Council". It was an organization made up of artists who wanted to change the way art was made and shown in Germany after World War I.

The Arbeitsrat für Kunst was created in 1918 by a group of German expressionist artists who felt that art should be for everyone, not just for rich people or the government. They believed that art should reflect the struggles of everyday people and that artists should work together to make this happen.

The artists who joined the Arbeitsrat believed that art had the power to change society, and they wanted to use their art to improve the lives of people who were suffering. They also wanted to create a new kind of art that would be more accessible to ordinary people.

The Arbeitsrat organized exhibitions, lectures, and discussion groups to promote their ideas about art. They also created posters and other materials to spread their message to the public.

Unfortunately, the Arbeitsrat was shut down by the German government in 1921 because it was seen as a threat to the established order. However, their ideas about art continue to inspire artists today, and their legacy lives on.
