Arc welding is like using a glue gun to put things together but with metal.
You have two metal pieces that you want to join together, and you need to use a special machine called a welder. The welder has a special stick called an electrode that is made out of metal and it is held in a special clamp.
When you turn on the welder, electricity starts flowing through the electrode to create a tiny spark that is really hot. This spark melts the metal on both pieces that you want to join together.
Then you move the electrode along the joint to create a line of melted metal, and as it cools down it solidifies again, gluing the two pieces together.
This makes a very strong bond between the metal pieces, just like using a glue gun. Arc welding can be used to make lots of things like cars, buildings, and even bridges!
