ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ArcView 3.x

ArcView 3.x is a type of computer program that helps people make maps and analyze geographic data.

Think about a treasure map that leads you to a treasure. ArcView 3.x helps people create maps like this, but instead of finding a treasure, it helps you find all sorts of different information like roads, buildings, or even bodies of water.

To make a map, you start by putting in a bunch of information about different places. This information could be about the name of a street, how wide it is, and how many cars drive on it. You might also put in information about buildings, like their size or what kind of business is inside.

Once you have all of the information in there, you can start to make your map. ArcView 3.x takes all of the information and puts it together to make a picture of the places you are looking at.

But making a map is just the start. You can also use ArcView 3.x to do something called analyzing data. This means looking at all the information you put in and finding patterns or trends.

For example, if you want to know which neighborhoods in a city have the most crime, you can use ArcView 3.x to find out. The program will look at all of the crime data and make a map that shows where the most crime happens.

So, in short, ArcView 3.x is a very special computer program that helps you make maps and look at lots of information about different places.
