Arctic Climate Impact Assessment

The Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA) is a big study that adults did to figure out how the Arctic (which is a big, cold place near the top of the Earth) is being affected by things like climate change, which means that the Earth's temperature is getting warmer.

Scientists looked at lots of different things, like how much ice and snow is on the ground, how the weather is changing, and what animals and plants are living in the Arctic. They found out that the Arctic is getting warmer much faster than the rest of the world, and that this is causing lots of problems for the people and animals who live there.

For example, because the ice and snow are melting, the land and sea are changing in ways that can make it hard for animals like polar bears and seals to find food and stay alive. It also makes it hard for people who live in the Arctic to hunt and fish, which is how they get their food.

The ACIA study was really important because it helped people understand how the Arctic is changing, and why it's important to take care of the Earth so that we can keep it healthy for everyone and everything that lives on it.
