Let's pretend you did something wrong, like taking a cookie without permission. Your mom or dad might ask you about it and you might say, "I didn't take the cookie."
But if your parents still think you might have taken the cookie, they might call you an "arguido". This means you're being investigated and they are trying to figure out if you really did take the cookie. So they might ask you more questions, ask other people who were around, or look for evidence (like crumbs on your shirt or the cookie missing from the plate).
Being an "arguido" doesn't necessarily mean you're guilty, but it means people are trying to find out what really happened.
