Arian creeds

An Arian creed is a statement of beliefs about God which was created by a group of people called the Arians. The Arians believed that Jesus, who is seen as the son of God in Christianity, was not exactly the same as God the Father (who is also a part of God). They believed that Jesus was created later, and was not eternal like God the Father. They thought that Jesus was still very important and powerful, but not quite the same as God the Father.

To help explain, imagine that you and your friends are all part of a big game called "The Almighty Game". But, there's a special player who is in charge, and they are called "The Game Master" or "The Creator". Now imagine that one of your friends, let's call them Peter, believes that the Game Master and the other players are all equal - they all have the same amount of power and importance in the game. But another friend, let's call them Sarah, believes that while the other players are still important, the Game Master has even more power and is in charge of everything.

This difference in belief is just like the difference between the Arians and other Christians. The Arians believed that while Jesus was very important, God the Father had even more power and was in charge of everything. Other Christians believe that Jesus and God the Father are exactly the same and have always existed together.

An Arian creed is a way for people to say what they believe about God, and there were a bunch of different ones created by different groups of Arians. They can be thought of like a set of rules that say what the Arians believe is true about God and how they should worship Him.
