Arlesey Bomb
Okay kiddo, so there was this bomb found in a little town called Arlesey. A long time ago during a big war, lots of bombs were made and dropped from planes. Some of these bombs didn't blow up and were left in the ground.
So one day, people found out there was one of these bombs in Arlesey. People were worried because if the bomb went off, it could hurt a lot of people and damage buildings. So the experts knew they had to get rid of it safely.
The bomb was very old and rusty, so they had to make sure they handled it very carefully. They dug a big hole in the ground and put the bomb in there. Then, they covered it up with lots of sand and soil to make sure it wouldn't move.
They also had to make sure people were safe while they were doing this. They closed off the area around the bomb so no one could go near it.
