Armenia–Turkey relations
Okay kiddo, so Armenia and Turkey are two countries that are neighbors and they used to be very close but now they're not.
Do you know how sometimes you might have a disagreement with your friend and you stop talking to each other for a while? That's sort of what happened between Armenia and Turkey.
A long time ago, something really bad happened that caused a lot of people to die. It's called the Armenian Genocide. Armenia believes that Turkey should apologize for what happened, but Turkey doesn't want to admit that it was a genocide. This has caused a lot of tension between the two countries.
Also, there used to be a border between Armenia and Turkey, but it's closed now. So people from Armenia can't just drive to Turkey and people from Turkey can't just drive to Armenia.
Overall, it's a complicated situation, but hopefully someday Armenia and Turkey can work things out and become friends again.
