Armero tragedy

When a volcano called Nevado del Ruiz in Colombia exploded on November 13, 1985, it caused a lot of hot rocks and lava to slide down towards a nearby town called Armero. This created a mudflow called lahars that quickly covered and destroyed everything in its path, including homes, buildings, and people. Many people were killed, and it became a big disaster known as the Armero Tragedy. It was very sad and scary for the people who lived in that area.
