ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Arms of alliance

Alright little one, have you ever played a game where you and your friends team up to win against other teams? That's kind of like what an alliance is. In real life, countries or groups of countries can also form alliances to work together and help each other out.

Now imagine that each country or group in the alliance is like an arm of a big monster. Just like how different arms on a monster help it do different things, each country in the alliance has different strengths that they can use to help the group as a whole.

For example, some countries might be really good at making food or goods that others in the alliance need. They can use their "arm" to provide these things to the rest of the group. Other countries might have really strong armies or lots of money that they can use to help protect the alliance from bad guys who might want to attack them.

By working together, the different arms of the alliance can make the whole group stronger and more able to handle problems. It's kind of like a big, powerful monster with lots of different abilities all working together to make sure everyone in the group is safe and happy.
