Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of the Supreme Court? It's like the boss court of all the other courts in the United States. They make really important decisions about the laws we have to follow.

Now, the Supreme Court is made up of nine people called Justices. One of those Justices is called the "Associate Justice." They work with the other Justices to listen to arguments about different cases and then make a decision that everyone has to follow.

The Associate Justice is appointed by the President of the United States and approved by the Senate. Once they are approved, they get to keep their job for life or until they retire (when they decide they don't want to do it anymore).

So, the Associate Justice is really important because they help make important decisions that affect the whole country, and they stay in their job for a really long time.
