Associated petroleum gas

Well buddy, when we drill for oil, we sometimes also find something called "associated petroleum gas" (APG). It's a gas that is trapped underneath the ground along with the oil, kind of like a friend of the oil.

This gas is made up of different things, but mostly it's made up of methane. You know, the stuff that makes up fart gas!

Now, sometimes we can use APG to make things like electricity or heat for homes and businesses. It's kind of like using gasoline to power a car, but instead we are using gas from underneath the ground.

The thing is, sometimes we don't need or want to use all of the APG that we find when we drill for oil. So, it just gets burned off into the air or let go into the atmosphere. This is not good for the environment because it can contribute to air pollution and climate change, so we should try to find ways to use or handle all of the APG that we find.

In summary, APG is a type of gas that we find when we drill for oil. We can use it to make energy, but we should be careful not to let it go to waste because it can harm the environment.
