Association of Track and Field Statisticians

The association of track and field statisticians is a group of people who love numbers and running and jumping and throwing things. They keep track of all the important information about athletes and their performances in track and field events.

Just like how you might keep track of how many cookies you ate or how fast you can run from your friend, these statisticians keep track of things like how fast someone ran a race, how high someone jumped, and how far someone threw something. They also use all this information to figure out who is the best at these events and how they compare to others who have done the same thing.

They make big charts and graphs to show all this information so people can see who is really good at these activities and how they are doing over time. And they use all this information to help make decisions about competitions and which athletes should compete in big events like the Olympics.
