ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Associations of good-doing

Okay, sweetie. Imagine you and your friends are playing together. When you share your toys or help someone who is feeling sad, your friends will see you as a good person who does good things. They might even want to be friends with you more because they like how you treat others.

In the same way, when big people, like companies or organizations, do good things like help the environment or give money to people in need, we call them “good-doers.” People like to be associated with these good-doers because it makes them feel good too. They might even want to work for or buy things from those companies because they like what they stand for.

So, when someone or something is associated with good-doing, it means that they are doing helpful things and people like and respect them for it!
