Asteroid belt

An asteroid belt is a group of many small rocks orbiting around the sun like a disc in the same area of space. Our solar system has one between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. These rocks are the remains of the material left over from when our Solar System was created millions of year ago, but they never came together to form an actual planet.
