ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Astrodynamics

Astrodynamics is like playing a game with the stars! It's the study of how the stars (and planets, comets, and other things in space) move in space. To figure this out, scientists have to do a lot of math to figure out the force of gravity between the different objects in space, and how to get those objects to move in the way they want them to. It can be used to calculate things like how long it takes for a spacecraft to travel to another planet, or how to get a satellite into orbit.
