Audio noise measurement is a way of measuring how much noise—like buzzing, humming, or silence—is in a piece of audio (a song, a voice recording, etc.). To measure noise, we use a device called a decibel meter. This device measures the loudness of sound. It works by measuring how much energy a sound wave has. The louder the sound, the more energy it has. The decibel meter measures this energy and gives us a score that tells us how loud the sound is.
