Australia is a big country full of animals and plants that you can't find anywhere else in the world. It's located in the Southern Hemisphere, which means it's on the other side of the world from the United States. Australia is known for its tropical beaches, its unique wildlife, and its deserts. Most of Australia is made up of dry land, but there are also mountains, forests, and even islands. Australia has six states, but lots of people visit the big cities like Melbourne and Sydney. Australia is also known for its Aboriginal culture which dates back centuries.
