An australophile is someone who really likes things from the continent of Australia. Australia is a big island country that's far, far away from other countries like the United States or Europe. People who love Australia might love the beautiful beaches, the amazing animals that live there (like kangaroos, koalas, and wallabies), the famous landmarks like the Sydney Opera House, or the interesting culture and history of the Australian people. They might also enjoy learning more about the Aboriginal people, who are the indigenous people of Australia and have a long and fascinating history.
