Authoring language

Authoring language is like a special way of talking to computers so they can understand what we want them to do. It's kind of like how we use words to talk to each other, but with authoring language, we use special code words that the computer can understand.

Just like when we want to tell a story, we use words to help create a picture in someone's mind, authoring language helps create pictures and actions on the computer screen.
