Autism spectrum

Okay, kiddo, so do you know what autism is?

It's when some kids think and behave differently than other kids. It's like having a different superpower, but it can also be hard sometimes.

Now, imagine all the kids who have autism have a special place they can be in, called the "Autism Spectrum". It's like a big rainbow with lots of different colors.

Some kids with autism might have a hard time talking, but they might be really good at drawing or playing music. Some might really like routines and get upset when there are changes, but they might be really funny and make you laugh.

Some might love to play with toys and not want to be around other kids too much, but they might be really good at remembering things.

There are lots of different ways the kids on the autism spectrum can be and lots of different things they can be really good at. And even though some things can be hard for them, they can still have lots of fun and make lots of friends.

The most important thing is that we treat everyone with kindness and respect, no matter how different they might seem.
