ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Auto dialer

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of an auto dialer before? It's a fancy computer program that can call lots of phone numbers automatically instead of a person having to dial each number themselves.

Imagine if you had to call 100 people in one day. That would take so much time and you might get tired of dialing all those numbers. But with an auto dialer, you can give the computer a list of numbers to call and it will do all the work for you.

When someone answers the phone, the auto dialer can even play a pre-recorded message or connect the person to a real person who can speak to them. It's pretty neat, isn't it?

But it's important to use auto dialers responsibly and not use them to bother people or call too much. That's why there are rules about how many calls can be made in a day and who can be called.

So, an auto dialer is like a helper that can make lots of phone calls for you without you having to do it all by yourself. Cool, right?
