ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Autocatalytic reactions and order creation

Autocatalytic reactions are like a factory for creating new things. It starts with some materials, and those materials are put together into something new. For example, if you combine A, B, and C together, you get something new - like a new chemical. This new chemical will act as a 'catalyst' - something that helps the process along. It helps to speed up the creation of more new materials. This is why autocatalytic reactions are sometimes called 'self-sustaining factories'.

Order creation is when these new materials come together to form an organized pattern. Like, you have several pieces of a puzzle, but they aren't in the right order yet. Autocatalytic reactions help to put the pieces of the puzzle together in the right order, so the puzzle looks like it's supposed to. So, this is another way that autocatalytic reactions help create something new.
