ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Automatic Warning System

An automatic warning system is like a superhero who helps keep people safe. It's a special system that is designed to let people know when there might be danger or something they need to be careful about. Just like how your mommy or daddy might remind you to look both ways before crossing the street, the automatic warning system reminds grown-ups about things that might be dangerous.

The automatic warning system has lots of different parts that work together to keep people safe. It uses special sensors that can detect things like earthquakes, fires, or dangerous gases. When the sensors detect these things, they send a signal to the warning system, which then sends out an alert to people nearby.

The alert might be a loud siren that makes a big noise so that people notice it right away. It might also be a message on a phone or computer, which tells people what they should do to be safe.

For example, if there was a big earthquake coming, the automatic warning system might send out an alert that says "DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON". This means that people should get down on the ground, cover their head and neck with their arms, and hold on until the shaking stops.

So, the automatic warning system is like a superhero who is always watching out for us, and who helps us stay safe when things might be dangerous.
