Autonomous administrative divisions of India

Autonomous administrative divisions of India are areas within India which have special powers to govern themselves in certain areas. Just like parents sometimes give their children some independence to make their own decisions (like deciding what toy to play with), the central government of India sometimes gives some independence to these areas to make their own decisions about certain things.

For example, some of these areas can decide their own policies related to education, culture, and language. The central government still gets to make important decisions that affect the entire country, but these autonomous areas get to make some decisions that only impact their own region.

Think of it like a big puzzle with different pieces. Each piece (or region) has its own unique culture and language, and the people there want to have a say in how they are governed. By giving them some autonomy, it helps the central government to better understand the needs of the people in these regions and make decisions that will benefit them all.
