Auxiliary power unit

Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is a small engine in some airplanes that helps to provide power and cooling while the plane is sitting on the ground without running its main engine. It can help to keep passengers and the crew comfortable and also help to power some of the plane's equipment, such as the lights and air conditioning systems. The APU can also help to start the main engine when ready for takeoff.
