Avionics

Avionics are just like the toys you play with, but for airplanes. Planes need to have lots of different toys to help them fly safely and get to where they need to go.

One of the most important toys in avionics is the GPS. Just like your parents use the GPS on their phone to find directions, pilots use a GPS on the airplane to find their way. It tells them where they are and helps them know where they need to go next.

Another important toy is the altimeter. You know how you can measure how tall you are using a ruler? Well, the altimeter measures how high the airplane is in the sky. It tells the pilot how far up they are and helps them know if they need to go higher or lower.

There are also lots of buttons and switches in the cockpit that the pilot uses to control the plane. Some buttons control the engine, while others control the radio or the lights. The avionics in the plane make sure that all of these buttons and switches work properly and that the plane stays safe.

Overall, avionics are just the tools and toys that help pilots fly their airplanes safely and efficiently.
