Babylon

Babylon was a place a very long time ago where people used to live in a very big, old city. It was located near a big river called the Euphrates. The people who lived there were really smart and made a lot of important things like writing and laws. They also built big buildings, and one of the most famous ones was called the Hanging Gardens, where they grew beautiful plants into the shape of big terraces. People came from all over the world to see how amazing it was.

The king who ruled over Babylon was named King Nebuchadnezzar, and he was very powerful. His palace was very fancy and had lots of gold and jewels. He wanted his kingdom to be the strongest and best, so he made sure people knew about it by building big walls around the city and making his army really strong.

Even though Babylon was a great city, it didn't last forever. A long time ago, people from another country came and took over Babylon, and the city was never the same again. Eventually, people stopped living there altogether and now, it's just a bunch of ruins. But people still remember it as one of the most amazing cities in the world.
