light emitting diodes

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) are like tiny light bulbs. They are made of a special kind of material that gives off light when electricity passes through it. LEDs are much more energy-efficient than regular light bulbs and can last for a really long time! You can find LEDs in lots of places like car headlights, phone screens, traffic lights and toys.
